For several years now, Orange Bow has been working in the heart of Lambeth, supporting more than 750 local young people and adults from NEET backgrounds. Many of our learners are not in education, employment, or training and our programmes give them the essential knowledge and skills they need to either secure a job or continue their studies.

For the third year running, we have been funded to support young people aged 16–20 affected by violence across Lambeth and neighbouring boroughs. We have recruited 110 young people since 2024 to take part in 6-week paid work placements with organisations including media companies, cafés, nurseries, charities, and corporate consultancy firms across London.

Over the course of one year, we supported 144 young people aged 14–24 at risk of crime, violence, and social exclusion through digital training and diversionary activities at our Tulse Hill Hub, providing personal development, and wellbeing support in a safe and inclusive environment.
Students from Elms Academy, City Heights Academy and Elmgreen School developed a strong set of employability skills through their work experience in media and digital production. They gained practical experience in digital storytelling, content creation, and basic production workflows, while also building confidence in using industry-standard tools and technologies.
Alongside technical skills, the young people strengthened key workplace abilities such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and time management. The project also helped them understand professional expectations in creative and digital industries, improving their adaptability, resilience, and readiness for future education or employment opportunities in media and related fields.
This year Orange Bow was commisioned by Lambeth Council to record and edit their “Lambeth Made Podcast” in their new platform for young people in the borough to share their experiences on all aspects of education, training, and employment.
Some of the guests included local youth advocates like, Cllr Mahamed Hashi and former Mayor of Lambeth Jean Paul Ennis sharing their points of view in regards to matters concerning our youth, as well as inspiring business owners like Clement Ogbonnaya sharing his success stories and his diagnosis for ADHD.
Here at Orange Bow we made sure every detail was covered including branding and marketing products to reflect Lambeth Made’s vibe as well as looking after all the guests at our in-house state of the art MicCheck Studios.
We were delighted to participate in the One Hug Youth Festival, hosted by Southwark Council at Peckham Levels where we had the privilege of hosting our MIMS Podcasting Workshop by Mic Check Studios.
Spending valuable time with young people from across the community, providing participants with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop new creative skills, and build confidence in expressing their voices, while also fostering collaboration, creativity, and a sense of empowerment that aligns with our shared commitment to supporting youth engagement, innovation, and personal growth
Orange Bow’s impact grows stronger through the power of collaboration. We partner with local businesses, community organisations, and educational institutions to develop industry-focused training, open up new opportunities for learners, and address the specific needs of Lambeth’s diverse population.
